Job Title: Barista
Job Type: PART TIME: 20-25 hrs, SEASONAL: May - August 2026 (with the opportunity to be extended based on business needs and performance)

Position
At Brew Brew Coffee & Tea, our baristas are more than just coffee makers—they are the heart of the guest experience. Baristas are responsible for crafting high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty beverages while creating a warm, welcoming environment for every customer. This role requires attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Baristas ensure each drink meets our quality standards, maintain a clean and organized café, and engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner. From recommending menu items to remembering regulars’ favorite drinks, baristas help create a community-centered café experience.
Job Responsibilities
Greet customers with a friendly, welcoming attitude and provide excellent customer service.Prepare and serve coffee, tea, non-coffee or tea, and specialty beverages according to recipes and quality standards.Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, blenders, and other café equipment.Accurately take orders, handle payments, and process transactions at the register.Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including counters, equipment, and seating areas.Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for food handling and preparation.Restock inventory such as coffee beans, syrups, milk, paper and plastic goods and pastries as needed.Handle customer questions, concerns, and special requests with professionalism.Upsell and make recommendations on drinks, food items, and seasonal specials.Work efficiently during peak hours while maintaining drink quality and consistency.Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, stocking, and equipment checks.Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth café operations.Support other team members and contribute to a positive, team-oriented kitchen culture.
Qualifications
Prior experience preferred (café, restaurant, or fast casual). Minimum 1 year.
Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Flexible schedule — must be available for mornings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to walk, bend, stand and use of hands and arms for extended periods.
Must be able to lift up to 30lbs and frequently bend and twist from the waist.
Frequently required to use hand and finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms.
Must be able to adjust vision to both day and night lighting, and be able to focus on distant and close-range projects.
Regularly required to handle food, hot beverages, and work with sharp objects.
Must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Willingness to work as part of a high-energy efficient team in a fast-paced environment.
Be able to make and serve between 200 – 300 drinks daily
Availability to work around peak hours, including late afternoon, early mornings, weekends and holidays. Weekends availability required.
Be authorized to work in the United States.
Must have reliable transportation.
Basic math skills
Minimum Age: 18 years old
Food Handler’s Certification, Allergens (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
